  I liked it. I'm glad I went to this albergue even though I saw the reviews. Showers worked well, one of the best so far and even locks had been fixed, good. Small kitchen where it's easy to cook pasta or something else easy. Also an elevator which is a nice addition for the pilgrims who's knees have been hurting since day two in Roncesvalles. Did not eat in the restaurant but looked good. Only minus that it can be hot on top bunks in big room, of course depending on the weather.

  This worked out good timing as a group of Spanish were singing till after 10 in the 'kitchen, outside the 'spar' door.

  We also had the pleasure of the waste water pipes from upstairs running down the corner of the room which sounds like a waterfall every time someone used the bathrooms above.

  It's a bit damp so we used our own bedding. We paid for clothes washing and drying at about 3:30 pm but I ended up having to keep checking the dryer until they were ready at 10:30 pm. I don't think they were washed with any detergent.

  It's not designed as a habitation room , it's in the basement in what looks like a store room in the disused Spar area. No chairs or wardrobe, but we did have an electrical outlet.
